Built in His Memory. Built for Their Future.
LIT House Foundation was created to give young people the chance that gun violence stole from one of our own. Every program, every scholarship, every mentor — it's all in his honor.
Mission
Our Mission
To empower underserved communities through career development, economic opportunity, and transformative mentorship — removing barriers so that every person can reach their full potential.
Vision
Our Vision
A world where background is never a barrier. Where ambition is met with access. Where every community has the tools, mentors, and resources to build generational wealth and lasting change.
Origin
Why LIT House Exists
In 2015, Breonjae Pattum lost her brother to gun violence. He was on his way to LSU — accepted, ready, full of purpose — to pursue a degree in engineering. He never made it.
That loss became the foundation of LIT House. Not out of grief alone, but out of a question that wouldn't let go: how many young people with that same potential never get their chance? How many dreams are cut short — not by a lack of ability, but by a lack of access, support, or someone in their corner?
LIT House Foundation was built to answer that question. To give someone the opportunity her brother deserved but never received. Every scholarship awarded, every mentor matched, every door opened — it's done in his memory and in service of every young person who deserves to see what they're capable of.
